Blogging is the tip of an iceberg and this week's example is the row in the UK over implementation of the Equality Act in regard to adoption. Here's a useful commentary by Simon Barrow, co-director of Ekklesia. Simon Barrow also writes for the Guardian and here is this week's comment on the same topic. Simon Barrow, it turns out, is an old friend of the family. His father and my parents were in Kenya as missionaries together. We met occasionally as children. It is wonderful to be back in touch again as adults and to appreciate his work for the church.

I was gobsmacked when I heard on NPR that the ABC was supporting the Catholic position on this.
